Park Commissioner Zach Schroeder Announces New ADA Compliant Swing at Tyson Park

2/10/2026

Park Commissioner Zach Schroeder today announced the installation of a new ADA‑compliant swing at Tyson Park, expanding inclusive play opportunities for children of all abilities. The swing features a secure harness system designed to provide additional support and safety, ensuring that more families can enjoy the park together.

This improvement was inspired by a suggestion from a local resident who advocated for greater accessibility in community spaces. The Trustees embraced the idea as part of its ongoing commitment to making Murray’s parks welcoming and usable for everyone.

“Our parks should reflect the needs of the people who use them,” said Commissioner Schroeder. “We’re grateful for the community member who brought this idea forward, and we’re proud to continue investing in accessible recreation.”

The new swing is now available for public use at Tyson Park.
